beginning gonal-f injectionsFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netWed, 17 Jan 2001 18:43:29 EST
My name is shana. i was recently diagnosed with pcos and am 28 years old. i have a two year old son and we conceived naturally. i was only recently diagonosed, but have had pcos since i got my period when i was 14. i was never regular, could never lose weight, facial and body hair, etc.. In any event, i have been on clomid since april and got pregnant at the end of september but then had a miscarriage 6 weeks later. very very depressing. my doctor increased my clomid dosage to 100 mg and then 150 mg. I am still not ovulating and have to take provera to get my period every single month. We are going to start discussing the gonal-f injections. I only know a bit about it but not too much. if someone could tell me the side efffects, where it is given for how long, when after the injections are over do you have intercourse, how long does it take to see if anything took etc. I am nervous and everything. If someone could advise i would appreciate it. thank you shanster25@aol.com
