I'm on birth control pills (Mircette) and Metformin (500 mg 3x/day). Ever since I started taking these two drugs (about 1 1/2 months), I wake up in the middle of the night completely dehydrated. My main symptom is that my mouth is completely dry, and sometimes drinking doesn't even help it at all. This happened to me last spring when I was on Spironolactone and Birth Control Pills. It got so bad that my doctor took me off both medications. Now I'm on met instead of spiro but the same thing is happening again. Has anyone else ever experienced this? No doctor I've talked to has ever heard of this as a side effect of The Pill.
