Hi Ruth,

There are several types of cysts, the most common being the retention type (basically an unruptured follicle) and one of 30 mm is not a big deal. A simple wait and see attitude is appropriate or taking an oral contraceptive (preferably a higher dosed one) may provide additional help, as it diminishes the level of FSH which might cause further growth of a simple cyst.
