Hi Stacylynne -

Sounds like me. I have been on the Metformin twice (this time since march 2000). It helped all of my symptoms. I never was able to ovulate with the Clomid, so I had to step up to the injectible Gonal-F which is Follicle Stimulating Hormone. They gave me more and more Clomid and even at the highest dosage I would do very well (150 mg per day). the egg quality (I am told) is very poor for women on 150 mg of Clomid so a low chance of getting pregnant. That's why I moved up to the Gonal-F. However, the Clomid is something that you have to go thru. Many women respond to it, but don't be discouraged it you don't. However, the doctors make you go through at least 6 months (usually) of the Clomid before letting you go on to the next step.

I never took them together, so maybe that would have worked.

Best of luck to you! Ruth :-)
