Re: Glucophage and ...nails?

Hi - I started taking a vitamin E supplement every day to help with the nail problems. I have very dry nails and toenails. I had read that women with PCOS sometimes have vitamin E deficiency. Vitamin E also helps infertility (they give it to horses and cows to help infertility).

Since vitamin E in fat soluble, your body stores it, so you must read the label and not take too much. I also got a bottle of vitamin E (with a littel brush in it) at the health store that I put on my nails and toenails sometimes before going to bed. Since it is oil, you just massage it in. That seems to help them not be so brittle or soft. There are lots of herbal remedies that are also available for helping nails. You can check at the pharmacy or health food stores.

Good luck! Ruth ;-)
