Re: glucophageFrom: Zowie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 10 Jan 2001 18:26:01 -0600 (CST)
Just have a question. I was just put on Met yesterday (same dose as Chris 500 mg 2x/day). Is this supposed to help regulate me as well? I was put on it to help with my insulin sensitivity and glucose tolerance (I also have hypoglycemic "episodes"---does that mean I'm hypoglycemic?). I have been bleeding continuously and have been on Ortho Novum to regulate me, but that only worked about 7/8 months. Then they put me on a 1/50 of BCP and that made everything worse. I started bleeding MORE (like before the pill) and continuously again (even though on a continuous dose of the actual hormone pill, not taking the placebo). Reading some of the posts, I've been seeing different reasons why people are put on Met, and wonder if it's supposed to help regulate you also. Can someone clarify this for me please? Thanks.
