Tiffany-- Are you in the care of a Reproductive Endocrinologist (RE)? If not, please find one in your area. Orthotricycline is a great bcp for women w/o PCOS. It's one of the worst for those of us with it. Yes, it will clear up your skin. But it will make the rest of your symptoms worse--any of the "tri-phasic" bcps will do that. I was on this one for several years and my symptoms not only worsened, but we determined that the course of my condition actually sped along while on this bcp. The most aggressive bcp that is used in the US for PCOS is Demulen 1/50. It has the highest concentration of estrogen and some other hormones that will stem the effects of testosterone in your system. A qualified RE will be able to direct you and give you more than just a bcp. Bcps are useful in conjunction with a treatment (insulin sensitizer) that gets to the root of the problem. Good luck!
