Back from my appt and GOOD NEWS!! :)

Thank you both for responding. Actually, my appt. was this morning (that's why I was asking so many questions---so I knew what to ask when I got there), so unfortunately, I got your responses only after returning. However, I do have some good news. This new doctor was a GODSEND. She actually LISTENED to what I had to say and agreed with my concerns. She didn't actually conduct any blood tests---she wants to give me a break since I've been bleeding FAR TOO MUCH as it is (plus, I've already had some done before), but she did agree that hypoglycemia was part of my problem. We talked about a lot of things (my 30 min. appt. lasted 45) and she prescribed Met 500 mg, and was also kind enough to prescribe some iron pills (I'm anemic and haven't been able to afford iron pills in the last couple of months) and even put me on a pre natal multivitamin to help! :) Not only that, she also got me a referral to an Endocrinologist and a Dermatologist to further help with my many PCOS symptoms. They're also going to do another ultrasound and determine if I'll need an endometrial biopsy (don't know what that is). She told me that the last doctor I went to, who prescribed a 1/50 blend of Ortho Novum (strongest form of BCPs with the highest estrogen) should NOT have given me that, since it builds up the uterine lining---which only made my bleeding and other problems WORSE. She's stopping me on that cold turkey and giving my poor body a break from hormones for a little bit, then putting me on Progesterone. Thank you ALL who have helped me out through this ordeal. I was ready for strike 4 in this battle and am SO RELIEVED to have finally found a doctor who listens, and is ALSO familiar with PCOS. I actually cried when she left the room because I was so happy. My hubby gave me a High 5, as well as a hug. We're on the right path finally. Just goes to show, persistence DOES help. I was ready to bring out all of my info, and DIDN'T EVEN HAVE TO!! :) I threw some ideas at her, and she gladly rebounded! lol I just hope my next 2 referrals go as well as this one did. Thanx again to ALL who have helped and offered suggestions to others. I may not be able to respond, but I do READ the posts!! Thank you VERY MUCH ladies!!! I feel like skipping I'm so happy!!!
