According to my doctor, it should be no higher than 139. She's prescribed glucophage, 500 mg, twice a day. She has given me permission to take it in smaller doses, if i don't do well at this level. Would ya'll suggest that I just go with 500 mg/per day for a week before doing two doses a day? I did take one dose at the end of dinner last night and did the same this morning. So far I have not had any noticeable side effects. Out of curiosity, how will this affect sugar cravings? I don't have those daily. they occur typically on weekends, but not every weekend.
