Robin, I know exactly how you feel, I am currently in the same boat. I am 70 lbs over weight, pluck hairs daily, I am losing my hair, and my GP/OB is clueless re PCOS. I asked to be placed on the Metiformin and my MD refused. If I were you I would ask for a referral to a reporductive Endocrinologist who is a specialist w/ PCOS (This is what I plan to do).
