Previous message: Mary: "Re: Metformin and Weight Loss" I would appreciate help from anyone who can give it to me!! I was diagnosed with PCOS last July after our failed IVF attempt. I was originally on 850 mg 2x a day and now 1000 mg 2x a day. I don't feel I'm taking the right dosage. I don't think it is enough for me. I'm still irregular with my periods. 1st. is there any way to tell what the right dosage is and 2nd. can you have another blood test done to determine the insuline levels. We are going to do our 2nd IVF procedure in March but I don't think I'm ready because of the medication dosage. My doctor is also hard to reach but said the the 1000 should be find for me.
