I think you add 14 days to the day you ovulated if I remember correctly. I was on clomid when I became pregnant with my first child. I tested a little early too and got negative results, so I would say since you ovulated on day 16, you should give it at least 14 days beyond that ... maybe even 15. Or you could always get a blood test. I am preggo now the au natural way (I don't know how this happened after all the problems I've had!!!) and I felt exactly like I was going to get my period with this one... cramping, major PMS etc, so don't fret if you feel that way either. Good Luck to you, I'll keep my fingers crossed. I also got a negative test this time, but I used a cheap test. I waited a few days and got +++ results:-)

Take Care,

Linda

Question...I had a period assisted by provera followed on days 5-10 with clomid followed 6 days later with positve ovulation. This past Wednesday was 28 days since the first day of my period. So I took a preg. test this morning (Saturday) and it was negative. However, my chest feels bruised and sensitive, and this has never been a side effect of my period, ovulation, anything. So I am going to give it another week and then test again just to make sure before repeating the whole cycle.

My question is this: if you don't have a normal 28 day cycle (I only wish!), when IS the "first day after missed period" when you should begin testing for pregnancy...? I would be happy to go on my merry way and start a new cycle of meds, except for this nasty sensitivity in my breasts. Do those of us without regular cycles show up testing positive later? Help!
