Hi Mary,

I am glad that you found my postings interesting. I am actually on Glucophage. It is Joan whom is not. It is also Joan whom has been getting the great tests...not me :-< It has been a great concern of mine though. It just makes sense to find out your resistance before taking an insulin sensitizer...in mine opinion. My doctor does not find it necessary to have the two hour test or any ultrasounds. She told me that even if I have cycts it would not matter??! I think we just have to take control and keep looking for a doctor that WILL give us the necessary tests. I know I will.

As for your other message, I started Glucophage at 500mg for a whole month. Now I am on 1000mg for 3 more months until my next cholestrol check. I actually did not get any stomach sickness. I was experiencing some symptoms that seems to be from my body's reaction to the drug, like insomnia, headache (sometimes), dizziness and fatigue. I seem to be alone on that though. But the drug worked for me right away.
