New on GlucophageFrom: Karma (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 15 Dec 2000 12:21:06 -0600 (CST)
I just started taking Glucophage yesterday, although I was diagnosed with PCOS 9 years ago, I was finally able to get proactive with this disease by reading everyone's posts everyday here at PCOSupport and following the links to all the latest information out there about the treatments for PCOS. I'm sure my story isn't unique, there are probably thousands of women out there who know they have PCOS, but they don't know what,if anything, they can do about it. I don't know how many gynos and general practitioners I saw who just wanted to either put me on Clomid or on the pill and politely shove me out the door. I was frustrated and on the verge of giving up until I found this website. I am hoping Glucophage helps me with my obesity and the hair growth, and most of all, the infertility. I would love to hear from someone about any success they have had with Glucophage/Metformin. I would also like to know if these side effects of naseau, dizziness, and sleepiness go away. Thank you all for having the courage to talk about this horrible disease in this forum. I know that without you all, I would still feel alone in my suffering with PCOS. Sincerely,
-- Karma
