Taking an OC to suppress PCO symptomsFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netFri, 15 Dec 2000 00:26:02 -0600 (CST)
I have researched some OCs and have found that Ovcon 35 could be a good choice. The progestine that it contains is norethindrone at only .4mg!! It looks to have the lowest dose and lowest potent progestine of any other combination monophasicon the market. This tells me that it should produce minimal progestine(testosterone) side effects such as weight gain, acne and hair growth. On the other side of the equasion it contains 35 micrograms of estrogen. This suggests that it would have the quality to regulate menses as well as minimize break through bleeding.
