Dear Joan,

I really appreciate your comment. It seems like your doctor is much more willing to monitor and help you. Please clarify something for me. If your fasting glucose was fine then was your 2hr. IGTT test abnormal? My doctor does not seem to think that it is necessary to test my insulin resistance. That is why I don't even know if I am resistant. Up until now, the low dosage of Glucophage (500mg then 1000mg per day)that I am taking seems to increase my carb and sugar craving. My doctor just wants to see me and have my cholestrol tested again after 4 months. No glucose/insulin testing or anything else. I just find that disturbing. I am glad to know that there are doctors out there that will give you more tests :->

If it is not too personal, can you tell me what your ultrasounds were for? I have an appointment with an endocrinologist but it is not until Jan 23rd! Hopefully, I can get better care then.

Thanks again
