Re: Glucophage, Clomid, Ovulation?From: Bronwyn (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 13 Dec 2000 23:35:55 -0500
Teresa, Another person has already mentioned that it's possible to ovulate later. As far as the pain you're having, if it continues to worsen or your abdomen begins to feel very full and uncomfortable, be sure to see your doctor as soon as possible. Most likely, you're just experiencing ovulatory pain. I also noticed my ovaries seemed more sensitive when I was on fertility drugs, whether or not I was actually ovulating. But....if the pain worsens, doesn't let up after a couple days, or you notice this "full and uncomfortable" feeling, please see a doctor. The full and uncomfortable feeling were signs I had when I experienced a burst ovarian cyst. While most cysts will usually be reabsorbed by a woman's body, sometimes they will continue to bleed into her abdomen (which happened to me). By the second day, what I had thought was a bladder infection was clearly something to be concerned about. I went to the ER and after several tests, scans, and ultrasounds, the doctors told me my best option was surgery to stop the internal bleeding. By that point, I was already on an IV with painkiller and I was more than ready! Not trying to scare you....just keep listening to your body. Women are given instincts to use, so don't feel "silly" for listening to yours. If you feel something just isn't right, insist that a doctor check to see what's going on! Hugs,
