Jane,

Spironolactone/aldactone is a mild diuretic originally prescribed for controlling high blood pressure. My doctor said it's not one of the more effective drugs for this, so others are usually used for blood pressure control. My guess would be that it's causing enough of a difference in your vascular system that it could be triggering your migraines. (Aren't they usually considered to be triggered by such changes?)

As with any noticable problem when taking a medication, check with your doctor!
