Anyway, I have a new Dr. and he has prescribed Clomid for me also, but he wants me to take it days 1-5. Have any of you taken or heard of taking Clomid this early in the cycle? Also, I'm taking 1000 mg of Glucophage every day. Is it safe to take the Clomid and the Glucophage together, or should I take them at different times of the day?? Any help would be MUCH appreciated! Thanks!

Denise, Clomid can be taken at any of those dates, it depends on the DR preference, also if any kind of testing and followup are needed, they will start you later or ealier in your cycle according to where the weekend falls. I'm about to start on 50MG Clomid after being on Glucophage since September. The last time I took Clomid was a year ago, and I had not even heard about Glucophage. My RE suggested not to go over 50 mg dosage of Clomid while on the Glucophage. I don't think there is any problem with taking the 2 pills together, but ask your doctor to be sure. If you need to have an HSG test (a dye test to check if your tubes are clear) make sure you tell your DR, because you will have to be off the Glucophage for a few days before the test. Good luck, maybe we can share our similar experiences!
