As far as "normal", I wouldn't call it that. What you will find is that many doctors are not used to treating PCOS. If I were you, I would research the drug Metformin and take that research back to your Endo. If you approach her with some research in hand, she may be more willing to consider other treatments. If she doesn't respond to that, I would suggest finding another Endo. There are lists available of doctors who normally treat PCOS. Good Luck,
