Hi Kathy,

My own observation is that if you are attempting to get pregnant you should not take spirolactone as it is linked to very irregular periods and also has been known in rare cases to feminise the genetalia of a male fetus. I was prescribed spirolactone by one doctor and through my own research I felt sure that I should not take it. (as I was attempting to get pregnant) I second guessed that doctor and provided her with information supporting my disagreement with her views. (I was then politely told to find another doctor) Since then I emailed many pcos doctors on the internet and they confirmed my inital belief.Every doctor and patient is different and the risks and choices varey. For me, In dealing with PCOS every new pill, or potion comes a glimmer of hope that it will help in some way. I wish you all the best of luck, Sorry to ramble on but I just wanted to let you know about the pregnacy part.
