When I was first diagnosed, I was on it for 9 months. I was not on any insulin sensitizers at the same time, and I don't know why, but I actually lost weight. It was very effective in controlling the hair growth and mild acne. I went on it again 8 yrs later, and was on it for only 2 1/2 months, and I didn't think it was working. I stopped it about 2 1/2 months ago, and looking back, there was a difference! I actually had a lot more energy too. Maybe the excess androgens are hard on my system? Anyway, I will soon be going back on it with Metformin at the same time to see if it will help to control things. I hope this helps.
