Hi Jennifer

There are three factors which are taken into account when diagnosing pcos.

history of irregular, delayed or no periods

particular hormone levels

ovarian cysts.

having two positive results out of the three means you would have pcos.

If they have only looked at your ovaries, they cannot say for certain whether you do or dont have pcos.

Some women with pcos do not have cysts, and some women without pcos DO have cysts.
