Re: Questions about GlucophageFrom: Krista (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 12 Nov 2000 15:09:54 -0600 (CST)
Shelly, I am writing to you only because you seem knowledgeable on this issue. I was reading in this months issue of Women's World and ran accross an article on PCOS. It was like a heavy cloud had been lifted. I have had no idea what was wrong with me until I read this article and and went to the PCOS website. I am 32 years old and have never had a baby. I have had all the sypmtom and have been going to my docor for years complaining about the same old things. She didn't even suggest this to me. I don't want to get pregnant at the moment but I would like to loose this weight, stop loosing my hair, and get over this acne. I tried to get pregnant in the past but to no avail. Now I finally know why. My question to you is will Glucophage help with the weight loss and the acne? I am calling my doctor tomorrow to talk with her about my new "discovery". Please email me: krit8019@excelonline.com. Thank you Krista At Wed, 1 Nov 2000, Bronwyn wrote: > >Becca, > >Because they're finding so many of the problems with PCOS seem related to >the insulin link (or insulin resistance), one of the "side effects" of >taking insulin sensitizer medications (also called oral diabetic meds) is >that many women's hormonal systems start to work "normally".
