Re: Electrolysis vs. Lasers- what little I know about electrolysis

I've never had the laser treatment but I think there are at least 2 kinds of electro. I first tried the procedure where a single needle was used on one hair at a time. It didn't work at all. Then I went to a place where the treatment consisted of many needles (I hate that word) being put in place and left in for about 20 seconds with a low continous current. This worked for me. Later I saw a television piece where a man was having hormone treatments to "change" into a woman and to get rid of his facial hair they were using the many needle approach. This would lead me to belive that many needles are better then one. (sorry) But 1) this is what worked on very coarse well established hair on my stomach and it's (15 years) permanent 2)not all technicians want to do the "many" proceedure and will tell you you're not a good candidate or it's not used any more. They tried that with my sister, who was conned into the single needle teatment, it did NOT work and right now she's too discouraged to look around to find the other treatment.

good luck
