This is to inform all women with PCOS about a study that is taking place at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. It involves the drug d-chiro-inositol, which is an insulin-sensitizing medication. This drug is not yet FDA approved. The study is looking for women aged 18 to 40 who have been diagnosed with PCOS. It is a six month blinded trial. They are looking to see how it effects ovulation in women with PCOS. Remuneration is offered at the completion of the study. If interested call 507-284-5314 and ask for Becky Herrmann or Marla Sommerfield. Please email this information to as many people as you can so this drug can be approved for PCOS. It is so far the only drug like it that does not have any reported side effects. I'd participate in the study myself but am currently trying to get pregnant so am not qualified for it.
