Deb,

If I were you, I would see endochronologist and try Avandia, Actos or Met. The first two don't cause stomach problems.

When I was in my 20's, my ob-gyn said I have pcos and didn't treat me with medication. While the symptoms did not get worse, they did not go away either.

I am 35 now and have never felt better in my life. 8mg of Avandia gives me periods every month, better skin and a waistline. My pcos symptoms came back when I had a break from prescription meds between Rezulin and Avandia so I know that it works.

There is no harm in not treating your symptoms right now unless you want to conceive, but I believe your quality of life will be much better.

Let us know how you're doing.
