Doctors in the US are STILL very reluctant to acknowledge our problems are from an endrocine system disorder than from our inability to stop stuffing our faces. There are a scattered few who really are "in the know" and there are a few who are "willing to learn", but even the "specialists" in the endocrine field are reluctant to examine new findings and change their ways of thinking. As for the weight loss after a baby.....how long ago did you have your baby? Was it a C-section or vaginal delivery? (If it's a C-section it may take some time to rebuild those abdominal muscles and tone). A lot of women are finding success with low-carb diets.....don't try to go without carbs completely though....and don't try to diet if you're breast feeding as this can affect your milk supply and richness. If it hasn't really been that long (as in it hasn't been over a year yet), try not to fret so much about your weight and enjoy the time with baby......the time will go by so quickly! (from a mom who remembers....) Do things that help you feel good about yourself.....get a facial, new haircut, a new outfit....by doing things to make you feel good about yourself, it's more likely that you'll also find yourself interested in eating healthier and excersizing. Best wishes to you and your little one! Hugs, Shelley spryte@dnsonline.net
> ----- Original Message ----- I was taking agnus castus - fantastic stuff. I guess if you look under homeopathy on the web there may be some directions for you to go in. Agnus castus is used for all infertility problems, not just PCOS. I am desperately seeking some weight loss advise. I've just had a baby and it ain't budging! Any ideas? It would appear that PCOS is taken far more seriously in the US than over here in the UK. Doctors here do not recognise PCOS as a problem - it's just something we have to live with. On my last visit the dr he told me that the only way to lose weight with PCOS is to starve yourself - not very sound advise!
