This is not good. Very bad in fact I think! They suggested Lupron for me. This is a psuedo menopause with all the side effects. You can NOT take anything for the side effects unlike regular menopause. Also I looked this up online and the side effects are TERRIBLE. and they don't neccesarily go away when the medicine is done. either. PCOS is an endocrin issue. Your Daughter needs to see a Endocrinoligist, get checked out the right way. (Giving her Lupron will not fix the problem!!!!!)

http://www.lupronvictims.com/ <-- this is a site about problems women have had with lupron.

This is a great place to learn more about pcos - http://www.pcos.net/ http://www.pcosupport.org/

Some links with more info: http://www.womens-health.co.uk/pcos.htm

Also there are more msg boards here with a wealth of information: http://forums.obgyn.net/pcos/PCOS.0011/date.html

Please let us know how things go. This is a very frustrating disease but there are ways to treat it.
