first, i am no expert, and not on met myself (yet!), but 1000mg a day is not the dose for PCOS. for PCOS people are using 1500mg to... 2500mg? something like that. i know 1500mg is what i have seen as minimum...

second, i think you should look at the overall picture, not just will i get pregnant. if you have PCOS, i would think that after starting the met, you should let your hormones kind of all normalise again and your periods regulate and your ovulation start and all that before worrying about "will i get pregnant?"

i think you are trying for the big goal before the little goals are reached.

just my two cents, though... i'm no expert.
