My layperson's advice would be to try the insulin sensitisers like Glucophage or Avandia. These are the only drugs that have the potential to effect the the who;e range of syptoms you are concerned about. Even women with normal insulin levels have experienced positive changes with the use of these medications. With Avandia etc.. there is no increase in hypoglycemia etc... so you don't have to worry about your insulin getting too low. I hope you find some Dr.s who are more educated and involved in your treatment. Good Luck.
