Rabia, I was on 2000 mg.day metformin for 3 months...had all the horrible side effects and it didn't work in clearing up my skin so the endrocrinologist switched me to spironolactone 2 weeks ago. I normally have very low blood pressure too (110/70-90/60)..so I take 25 mg of the spiro 4 times a day. So far no problems at all with blood pressure. Most people take the medicine twice a day but 4 times a day ensures the BP won't drop too low.. -jane
