My GTT indicate I was marginally IR. At two hours the reading was 66 uu/ml (against the normal limit of 60). My Endo said no use taking Metformin and gave Diane-35 and Spiro (Aldactone) instead. I remember earlier threads on Spiro but I did'nt pay too much attention to those as I was hoping to be prescribed Met. Anyway when I did some checking on Spiro, it turns out its a diuretic and prescribed to those with aldosterone disorder. I know lots of cysters are having Spiro but I'm really confused about the connection with PCO? Is there a subset of PCOers who shud have Aldactone? My blood pressure stays on the lower side as a matter of fact. Wud really appreciate any help. Thanx. Rabia.
