Hi, Emily. I also take metformin and BC pills. None of my doctors have
ever told me that metformin decreases the pill's effectiveness, and I've
never heard that from anyone else on these boards. Actually, some argue
that BC pills decrease metformin's effectiveness because they can make
some women more insulin resistant. To ease your mind, I'm sure your
doctor could quickly answer this question over the phone.
