Re: Glucophage and Diet

I have had PCOS for a very long time. It was a relief to find out that a low carb diet is the right diet for women with PCOS. I have lost 30 lbs through the summer. I took a 5 week break and am now back on the diet. My gyn is very supportive of this diet. He suggested that I diet first and then he would perhaps prescribe Glucophage as it could help me live a more normal eating life while still keeping off the weight.

I am looking to maintain my weight with the Carb Addict Diet. It is not fast enough for me to actually lose the weight initially. For those of us with PCOS we have to accept that like a diabetic, a diet will be with us always. It is just a question of how much.
