Hello Debbie et al:

Spironolactone takes up to 6 months (in some women it takes a bit longer...) to become effective. Sorry about the bad news on that issue - there are also some rather icky side effects if you chose to get pregnant.(Although I don't know if that is an issue - it isn't with me...) I found that it worked rather well once it started but the down side, for me, was that it only takes care of new hair growth - it doesn't effect folicles that have already become manly (for lack of a better word...) There are many great articles out there on the pros and cons of all of the hair removal issues... but I still wax. Take care and I hope it works for you! :-) Vicki > Debbie,
