Hi Anne-Marie, I have not had much luck with Metformin either. I had a liver test scare, it turned out, I went back on it, but now can only tolerate 500 mg., which is not much. I have been on it since January and no weight loss. So I was going to ask the doc about continuing to take 500 mg. met and adding Avandia. I see him Monday. Good luck. Feel free to write me privately. Eileen.
