Elaine,

I have been on Glucophage for 3 weeks now. I am up to 1500mg per day and have had very little side effects. I have felt a little sick now and then and had some headaches. But honestly, it is not more than I have had before when my sugar was out of control. I was very tired the first week, but it has gotten better and better. Also, I lost 3 lbs last week.

My father has been on the medication for over a year and experienced very few side effects when he started the med. So, all experiences with this medication are not bad. Give it a try.

My decision to try the meds, even after all the bad things I read was based on this: I have felt bad physically, mentally, and emotionally for the past 10 years. I didn't like what I saw in the mirror and couldn't change it, but finally, I have a weapon to fight with. What is a few more weeks of feeling bad, if in the future I can feel better.

Good Luck,

--
Jenni
