> Hi Ladies, I am hopeing you can help...I have written the list a few times....age 42 recently diagnosed with PCOS..daughter age 21 also has it...My Mother had diabetis and my Grandmother died of diabetis.. we recently found out this disease is heriditary....well its hitting other female family members as well since I have been diagnosed.. ...My sister who is 10 years younger then me AND her daughters...My sister has a horrible case lots of hair..testosterone levels that are off the chart..and every symptom known to man.. She has to shave twice a day....She is fighting to get help...She lives in Seattle so if anyone in that area knows of a good Dr. PLEASE let me know...ALSO..I am very concerned about her daughters...ages 12 and 10...The 12 yr old started her period a little over a year ago and its very erratic...the Drs. are telling her this is normal...I would tend to agree but now my Sister has to wax her daughters lip and the child is gaining a ton of weight for no apparent reason and has recently developed high blood pressure......The younger daughter is also showing signs of this disease...all the Drs are not taking any of our history into account and its really upsetting me...they keep telling my sister to put the girls on a diet...she has done all of that and now is trying to get a Dr.that will listen.... They checked the children for adult diabetis and the test came back negative so they sent her home with diets. If anyone has information about treating young girls or where to turn please write me...ANY INFO WOULD BE HELPFUL Thanks, Brighid
