metforminFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netSun, 8 Oct 2000 10:47:59 EDT
Hi everyone... I have been reading posts for a good 4 months now on Met (gluco) and Spiro and all the meds to take for PCOS...there is one thing I have noticed...you say you start out with a certain amount and then go up and down or change which drug? Now I know on Met you can gradually increase the amount and usually do. But with that and others on these posts i get worried....do you inform you RE or PCP or whoever your going to that your playing with your meds? Shouldn't they be making the decisions for you? I have had hypertension since i was 17 and that is one of the first things that "caught" my doctor with my PCOS. I never mess with my meds for this and I really don't think anyone should be making decisions on other meds without the consult of doctor? Am i wrong? It just seems we all want to help our symptoms that we make our own decisions and hope it's right!!! This is a just a general question or statement....trust me I am a worrying type of person that's all.... Thanks and take care to all... Shell
