My name is Jenni and I have been diagnosed with PCOS. I am 25 years old and until last year felt like there was no way that anyone in the world could ever love me. I am overweight by more than 70 pounds, I have hair growth on my face, and had been told that there would be problems if I ever tried to have children. So, I decided that I would just spend my life alone and make the best of it. I decided to be happy about my career and my accomplishments. I became happy with myself, although still felt like I did not deserve love.

Then, to my surprise, a wonderful man walked into my life. We became friends and eventually fell in love. I could not believe that he could care about me. He even understood that there may be problems in the future with children.

I am telling you this to let you know that no matter how bad you feel about yourself there are some wonderful things about you. Realize and embrace the good, then better things will follow. As for the PCOS, try to get the Dr. to put you on medication besides BCP's. I know it will be expensive, but they need to treat the real problem (usually insulin resistance). Go in armed with as much info as you can from sites like this one. Then maybe you won't have to see them as many times to get the medication.
