I've been on spiro for just about a year. My blood pressure is similar to yours (actually my top number has been as low as 90). Anyway, if I remember right it made me a tad nauseous in the beginning, but that went away. Didn't effect my bp. The hair and acne cleared up (hair takes a while, and the acne may be due to my also being on a bcp). Only drawback is it's a diuretic, so you have to urinate a lot and it also makes you constipated (sorry...). The advantage I found when I was on metformin at teh same time was that met gives you diarrhea, so the two kind of evened themselves out in that area :)
