You don't have to be overweight to be IR. Trust me, I'm a rail. Get the GTT, if you can afford it. If you read about diabetes, PCO, etc, you will see that fasting levels are not necessarily enough. In fact, they say that having normal fasting, but abnormally high levels after the glucose drink, is IR and means you are on the road to diabetes II unless somehow controlled. Not to alarm you, but wouldn't it be nice to be sure?
