Is there a specific reason that your daughter can not take the pill while on glucophage. I was diagnosed almost 3 months ago am on the pill, glucophage, spirolactone, and zoloft. I was on none of these medications before diagnoses. My doctor put me on the pill as soon as she started me on the glucophage because I did not want a pregnancy. I'm 43 years old, and the idea of starting a family at this age was not appealing to myself, or my husband. I was also sent to a endocrinologist who specializes in PCOS and she agreed with my doctor about my medications, other than she upped my spirolactone to 1000 mg a day rather that 500 mg. Since Glucophage has on more than a few occasions reversed infertility problems a lot of women with PCOS have suffered, I would suggest that if your daughter is sexually active, that perhaps you seek a second opinion with a endocrinologist about birth control. I hoped that helped..............Cathy
