I am new at this and I have been on glucophage for about 2 months. I had the same reaction as well. The best thing to do is to take the pill about 20 minutes AFTER you eat. And make sure you are eating small meals. I have also found that cinnomin on toast w/peanut butter helps the gastro effects also. And try to avoid regular iceberg lettuce, it makes it real hard on you. My pharmacist told me to make sure I take my prenatal vitamins so that I get enough nutrients. And it will help on some of the gastro trouble as well. The more sugar or carbs you eat the harder it will be on the stomach.
