Missed some doses of glucophage; how do I start again?

Hi all!

I began glucophage in early August. Worked my way slowly up to 2000 mg. / day. We went away this past weekend, and I forgot to bring along the meds. So now it has been 4 days with no glucophage, and I am wondering how to start again. Should I start over at one pill a day, or can I jump right back in to 2000 mg. / day? I had a little trouble with gastric distress after I would increase the dosage, but got used to it after a few days each time. Was still having a bit of trouble at the 2000 mg. / day level. Any advice? I don't want to really make myself sick. Thanks, ladies. Leeny
