Thanks for your reply. It's nice to know you are not alone. I know
what you mean by wanting to concentrate on something besides the PCOS
problem. I have been struggling with "unexplained" infertility for
seven years now and have yet to have a positive pregnancy test. I feel
like I have been on a "body watch" the last seven years trying to figure
out whether I am ovulating and how to solve my problems. The mood
swings don't help. I was so excited when I first started Glucophage
because I felt so much better (even with the GI problems). Despite the
positives of Glucophage, I was not willing to put up with running to the
bathroom at the smell of food. When my doctor was concerned about
toxicity - that was enough for me. I don't mind trying new drugs, but I
am not willing to risk cancer or damage to my body. I am thankful that
I have something new to try (Actos). The pills are MUCH smaller and I
don't feel the wild side effects of Glucophage so far. I will update
after I have been on Actos a while longer.
