Just diagnosed with PCOSFrom: Susan (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 27 Aug 2000 22:17:03 -0500 (CDT)
Hi everyone! This is a great website. I never realized that there was so many women out there that has gone through or is going through what I have been going through for the last year. Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I have always had okay, but not perfect periods up until I gave birth to my little boy Thomas in 96. During delivery my uterus came out, and my doctor had to tack it back in place. After that I would go sometimes three months without a period and I would eventually start on my own. July of 1999 I had a tubal pregancy and then in November of 99 I had emergency gallbladder surgery. From the beginning of August of 99 to December of 99, I had no period, so after my husband Scott and I moved back to good ole Alabama from Orlando I started going back to my original OB/GYN. He ran a battery of tests, and has diagnosed me with PCOS. He has put me on Clomid, and Glucophate or something like that. He said that I may lose weight, which would be great since I am 296, and I should only weigh 160 lbs. I would feel so much better if I could lose, but I have done every kind of diet that there is out there, and nothing seems to work. I work out everyday, and still to no avail do I lose weight. I don't get it. I am deeply depressed, and angry. I cry when I hear that other people have had babies, and when I am extremely depressed I tend to watch the baby story on cable tv TLC channel. I don't know what to do. I want another baby so bad, and my three year old does too. He tells everybody that he is getting a baby sister or a baby brother, but he isn't so far. I know that I have been rambling nonstop since I got on here, but it seems that talking to people that has never been through this just doesn't understand. I am so glad that I found this website. I am hoping that it will help me and my husband better understand it. I have to run now, but I will talk to everyone later. I would love to hear from anyone with any kind of encouragement or anything. Thanks so much, Susan Powers
