Dear Laura,

I agree with Laura. I married at 25. Make sure your boyfriend is ready, too, you don't want to go through everything "alone" emotionally and babies sure do put a strain on even the closest of couples. I've had 3, and each one, although a joyous blessed event/addition to our lives, adds stress along with it. If it's not a now or never situation, my strong advice is to wait until you are both ready. You are not selfish for wanting a baby. It's one of life's most noblest and holiest professions. But frankly it would be selfish to "push" parenthood on someone who isn't emotionally ready for it. I'm sorry if I've stepped on your toes. I wish you the best. God Bless :)Monica
