Hi, it took my about seven weeks on met to have a period (its my third period since the birth of my 18 month old son). The period I had a couple of months prior to starting met (which came on its own), was very light, and I had the feeling that I wasn't fully shedding the lining of my uterus (not good). Soon after, I had an ultra sound as part of my work up for PCO by my endo, and the tech told me that my lining was quite thick. She said it was common for PCO's to have "incomplete" periods. This period I just had on met was very heavy, and I feel much better after having it.

As far as conceiving, I was fortunate to get pregnant easily. My first two were conceived using progestran to induce a period, followed by clomid (taken orally). I conceived immediately after one round of medication each time. My third child was a suprise!!!! This may mean I have a fairly light case of PCO, or that I am lucky.

Good luck.
